My wife Jan and I spend our active, productive time between each year rotating between Calgary (3 grandchildren ages 2,4,&6) and San Rafael, California (2 grandchildren ages 3&5). Between these exhausting visits we rest up in Kona in the winter and at Redberry Lake near Saskatoon in the summer.
My most vivid recollection of CCI is a feeling of terror as I walked in to Mr. Chapman’s chemistry lab with my homework unfinished. A second is crawling through a ground story window between classes to go golfing with Moe Jahnke who exited from a window in a different class.
I'm only attending Thursday night and part of Friday (wedding conflict) but looking forward to seeing old friends. |

The wonderful people of Moose Jaw gave me the support and spirit to keep going with my art from age seven on. I lived there from 1947 to 1957 and what great years they were. I'll forever praise my classmates and teachers of King George and Central Collegiate. There was a spirit of friendship and community in Moose Jaw that was almost mythical. I'm sure it's still there, stronger than ever.

After almost 40 years I have lost track of most of my high school friends. I really look forward to visiting CCI and hopefully seeing some familiar faces. The last contact I had with CCI was with Mr. Wingert (our rookie physics teacher). He was attending his son's civil engineering graduation banquet at the U. of. Sask. We had a great time reminiscing. Hope to do the same with many of you. |
